Children: Unintended Victims of Legal ProcessChildren: Unintended Victims of Legal Process examines current policies and guidelines affecting children with an imprisoned primary carer. Each phase of the legal process is considered, from parental arrest, sentencing and imprisonment to release and reconciliation with the family. The project’s particular focus is on children whose mother is in prison. It examines the policy and legislative impact imprisonment of mothers has on their children. The study highlights Victorian families and their first hand experience of the legal process. Its findings are, however, of broader relevance. Enter |
