What we do

In 2022, VACRO celebrates 150 years of supporting people in contact with the justice system, and their families, to re-join their communities safely and successfully.

Throughout the year we will honour our past, celebrate our present and strategically plan for a future that meets the needs of some of the most marginalised and disadvantaged members of our society.

From modest beginnings as a material aid society, to an organisation recognised for its expertise and evidence-based outcomes, VACRO continues to provide hope and to support people's new beginnings.

As Victoria's oldest and only specialised justice reintegration service, we will mark the milestone of our 150th anniversary through storytelling and special events.

Join us throughout 2022 as together we play a role in strengthening our communities by supporting people returning from prison.
