  1. About

Work for us

Our team believes everyone deserves the chance to create a new beginning.

We support successful integration for people in contact with the criminal justice system and their families, to ensure people, families and communities are safe and strong.

VACRO is committed to attracting and supporting skilled, passionate staff who share our vision for strong, just communities. Our staff have diverse backgrounds in a range of sectors including disability, alcohol and other drugs, mental health, justice, homelessness and residential services. We work across metropolitan and regional Victoria, in prisons, in communities, and in our Melbourne CBD head office.

Staff benefits
  • A friendly and positive organisational culture that values staff wellbeing, development and inclusion.
  • A real opportunity to make a practical difference in peoples’ lives and practice innovative service delivery.
  • Generous salary packaging, leave loading and flexible work arrangements such as part-time employment.
  • A dog-friendly head office.
Our commitment

We are genuinely committed to supporting new beginnings. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of contact with the criminal justice system.

Because we work in the corrections system, a national police check forms part of our standard recruitment process. But our practices are inclusive and based on equal opportunity principles. A positive result from a police check would only preclude employment in limited circumstances.
