We welcome job applications, student placement requests, and volunteering requests from people with lived experience of the criminal justice system. Some current and former Vacro staff members have had criminal records, and a having a record isn't necessarily a barrier to working at Vacro.

National police checks at Vacro

Because we work in the corrections system, a national police check forms part of our standard recruitment process. But our practices are inclusive and based on equal opportunity principles. A positive result from a police check would only preclude employment in limited circumstances.
