After a 30-year career in State government’s disability programs, Marie thought her work in the space was complete. However, following a brief hiatus from the profession, Marie found herself drawn to Vacro, ready to share her expertise, this time to benefit people engaged in the criminal justice system.

Marie’s professional experience began in disability accommodation and in time lead to her becoming a behaviour intervention practitioner. “The goal of intervention is aligned with my personal values, which are to help people improve their quality of life,” says Marie.

As Specialist Disability Practitioner and Educator, Marie works closely with case managers on Vacro’s ReConnect team whose participants live with disability and mental health conditions. On any given day, Marie may be providing training, mentoring, or consulting on a wide range of cases.  Based in the Melbourne office, Marie works with case managers who work across the Barwon South West, Grampians, and Loddon Mallee regions.

A lover of all animals, Marie has two cats who are her Keepers, “At home, they are my masters.” When they allow Marie out to play, she can be found cycling or enjoying a bit of photography.
