A series of four booklets designed to assist families of people entering prison.

Resources for workers

FORK: Families of Offenders Resource Kit

A collection of 18 fact sheets designed to increase awareness and understanding of the impact of the criminal justice system on children and families. This resource aims to build local service capacity to support children and family members of people in prison and help strengthen family bonds.

Supporting Students with Parents in the Criminal Justice System

Teachers and support staff in schools are often the only people a student will talk with about a parent or family member in the criminal justice system. This poster acts as a resource for those teachers and school staff to support students.

The Transition Toolkit

This toolkit is designed to assist families who will soon be reunited with a family member being released from prison. It has been developed as a tool for professional workers to provide relevant guidance and support to these families.

Prisoner Legal Issues for Case Managers

This guide provides workers, who may not be legally trained, with a basic ‘step-by-step’ resource guide that prompts the identification and referral of legal issues at the earliest possible stage. It is not intended as legal advice.
